Personal injury lawyer advertising, wired to intake.

Written by LawVert · Reviewed by Jon · Updated September 9, 2026

Personal injury lawyer advertising is paid media — search, social, and video — built to produce signed PI retainers, not form fills. It covers personal injury lawyer ads, attorney advertising, and commercials as one cluster. The program only works when landing pages, call tracking, and intake share the same source path so spend is judged by opened matters.

Run on our own money first

Most agencies learn Meta on your budget. We learned it on ours: four years of Facebook and Instagram for Conduit Law, a personal injury firm we own. 722 signed cases, as of Aug 2026.

What that took: landing pages rebuilt until cost per click fell by half. Same-day intake — a PI lead that waits overnight is gone. Instant Forms only where they become retainers, not where they pad the lead count.

What we’ll tell you that others won’t: Meta CPMs jumped hard from 2023 to 2026. Cost per signed went up with them. Year-by-year spend and cost per signed are for the call, not a landing page. The year-by-year story without the dollar grid lives on the Conduit Law case study. Firm-wide PPC process stays on lawyer advertising & PPC.

What personal injury lawyer advertising includes

Personal injury lawyer advertising is the paid side of demand for injury cases. Search ads, social placements, and video or TV commercials all belong here when they send a tired caller toward a page that can take the case. The job is not a creative contest. It is a system that has to survive a partner asking which dollars opened matters — and getting an answer that matches the intake log.

Search, social, and video under one intake path

Search captures high-intent queries: car accident lawyer, truck accident attorney, geo-modified injury terms. Social and video reach people who have not typed the query yet. Creative differs by channel. The intake path should not. Calls and forms from every placement need the same source fields, the same landing-page standard, and the same handoff into the matter system.

Google Ads can report calls down to the keyword when call reporting is on, and those calls can be counted as conversions — by duration in the ad account, or by importing outcomes from another system.[1][2] Duration is a proxy. A signed retainer is the event partners actually care about.

Why ads, commercials, and “PI attorney advertising” stay on this URL

Personal injury lawyer ads, personal injury attorney advertising, and personal injury attorney commercials share commercial intent. Splitting them into extra URLs would compete for the same title. Video and TV still need conversion pages. This page is the PI paid spoke.

Firm-wide PPC and Google Ads live on lawyer advertising & PPC. Organic PI marketing — SEO, site, content — stays on personal injury marketing. The pages should link. They should not share a title.

How PI advertising should work

A PI paid program is campaign structure, landing pages, and attribution — in that order of failure. If any one is missing, raising budget makes the report louder without making it truer. LawVert runs this work as managed marketing under Cadence MSO, not as a self-serve dashboard. Public copy stays RPC-safe: no guarantees, no invented results.

Campaign structure by injury type and market

Split campaigns by injury type and by geography you actually cover. Car accident and trucking do not belong in one ad group just because both are “injury.” Mixed groups train the auction on the wrong query and dump mismatched callers onto a generic page. Geo targeting should match markets where the firm can take the case — not a nationwide hope that burns CPC on cities you will not serve.

Match ad copy to the landing page. If the ad says trucking, the page should say trucking. That is not a branding preference. It is how you keep the tired caller from bouncing before intake can finish.

Conversion landing pages (not brochureware)

The click should land on a practice-area or location page with one primary CTA, mobile-first form or click-to-call, and copy a caller can finish when they are tired. Brochure homepages with five competing buttons leak the session. Landing pages are part of the ad system, not a separate web project.

Public legal advertising has to stay truthful. Google’s policies say advertisers are responsible for applicable law in every location ads show, on top of Google’s own rules against misrepresentation.[3] State bar advertising rules — California’s Chapter 7 is a public index of Rules 7.1–7.5 — treat false or misleading communications, including guarantees and unjustified expectations, as a compliance problem.[4] ABA Model Rule 7.1 is the same baseline in model form.[5] That is general hygiene, not legal advice. Counsel in each jurisdiction owns the review.

Call tracking + form source into intake

Preserve UTM and gclid (or the equivalent click identifier) from the ad through the form and the call. Call reporting gives duration, start time, and source inside the ad account; it does not replace an intake record.[1] Offline conversion import is how Google Ads learns that a click later became a signed retainer: you keep the click ID with the lead, then send it back when the matter opens.[6]

If intake rekeys the lead and drops the source, the monthly report stops at cost per lead. Partners cannot tell which campaign produced retained clients. That is the failure mode this page exists to prevent.

Worked example

Example — from click to opened matter

A multi-market PI firm runs search campaigns split by injury type (car accident vs trucking) and by geo. Each ad group lands on a matching practice-area or location page with one primary CTA. Calls and forms keep UTM and gclid into intake. The monthly review is cost and volume per signed retainer by campaign, not CPL alone.

That is the same wiring pattern we use on Conduit Law: paid demand is judged after intake, not at the form fill. We are not publishing CPL, ROAS, or case values here. Those numbers are market- and intake-specific. Inventing them would be the opposite of an operator report.

PI advertising vs organic PI marketing vs firm-wide PPC

These three URLs are easy to mash together in a strategy deck. They should stay fenced on the site so titles do not cannibalize.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is personal injury lawyer advertising?

Paid media for PI firms — search, social, and video — measured by signed retainers. Ads, attorney advertising, and commercials are the same cluster when they share landing pages and intake.

Is PI advertising the same as Google Ads for law firms?

No. Google Ads for law firms is the firm-wide paid hub. This page is the PI spoke for higher-CPC, geo-heavy injury campaigns.

Should PI SEO and PI ads share one page?

No. Organic PI marketing/SEO and paid advertising should link to each other, not compete for the same title.

What should a PI ads report include?

Spend, qualified leads, and signed retainers by campaign and market — with source preserved into intake. Clicks alone are incomplete.

Do commercials need different landing pages than search?

Creative differs; the intake path should not. Video and TV still need conversion pages and tracking wired to the same matter-open process.

The Bottom Line

Personal injury lawyer advertising is paid demand for injury cases, judged by signed retainers. Keep ads, commercials, and attorney advertising on this URL; send firm-wide PPC to the Google Ads hub; keep organic PI marketing separate. Wire landing pages and intake before you scale spend.
